YMCA day camps are founded on the basic values of honesty, compassion, responsibility and respect. Our day camps focus on personal growth in children and helping them to develop a positive sense of identity. This is all made possible by participating in a wide range of activities including aquatic activities, team sports, cooperative games, arts and crafts, dramatic arts, educational and fun-filled outings, not to mention science-related experiences.
Daily activities are led by dynamic, highly skilled counsellors, specially trained by the YMCA in first-aid and CPR. Campers experience non-stop thrills in an
environment where both security and fun are at the top of everyone’s agenda.
THE WESTMOUNT YMCA ADVOCATES INTEGRATION
Our goal is to provide a safe, fun, and positive summer camp experience for all of our participants. We believe that with understanding and support, every child has
an important contribution to make within the community. For this reason, we follow a policy of including children with special needs within our programs wherever possible. Integration is facilitated through ongoing consultation with professionals in our community.
Parents wishing to reserve a place for their child with special needs in Kamp Kinema Junior or Kamp Kinema Senior must communicate with the camp’s Special Needs
Coordinator prior to registering. Together a plan of action will be drawn to ensure that the camp environment is suitable for the child, and in order to ensure an active
and productive camp season.

KAMP KINEMA JUNIOR
2 1/2 - 5 years old
Kamp Kinema Junior is a day camp uniquely geared to pre-school aged campers. With our exceptionally low counselor to child ratios (1:6), we are committed to offering the best quality programs for our youngest campers. Many of our
counselors are educators year-round in the Westmount YMCA Preschool, and all are dedicated to providing a great day camp experience in a warm, safe and fun environment.
Camp runs for 9 weekly sessions from June 27th to August 26th.
• Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
• Weekly fee: $95.
KAMP KINEMA SENIOR
6 - 17 years-old
Children participating in Kamp Kinema Senior will discover a variety of exciting activities. There is something for
everyone, whether sports or arts are of particular interest. An experienced and enthusiastic team of counselors are on hand are ready to welcome you.
Camp runs for 9 weekly sessions from June
27th to August 26th.
• Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
• Weekly fee: $150.
