Job Summary:The IMS Coordinator is responsible for establishing procedures and performing or directing a variety of functions in Operations, Facilities, Human Resources and Materials Management within the guidelines of the Integrated Management System. Other responsibilities include; developing / maintaining programs for Health and Safety, training, primary contact for quality related issues.
Analytical Skills:
•Good analytical / mathematical skills
•Strong organizational skills (i.e. ISO Management Systems)
•Very comfortable with detailed documentation
•Maintain the IMS systems at the applicable site while working with other sites to harmonize procedures / processes which will involve continuous improvements, refinements to ensure compliance as well as an efficient operation
•Establish, manage, monitor, evaluate and co-ordinate the IMS (Integrated Management System)
•Report to Senior Management on the performance of the IMS, including needs for improvement
•Ensure the maintenance of the IMS including all aspects of tracking and controlling data and procedures. (i.e non-conformance log, CAR / PAR’s, internal audits)
•Complete annual reports as required for MOE and customers
•Research legislation and applicability to the Organization
•Facilitate audits (regulatory and customer) as required. Includes – audit prep, gap analysis, meeting and working with auditors, follow up on identified non-conformances, etc.
Education / Experience Requirements:
•Post Secondary Education in the HR and Health & Safety fields or equivalent work experience
•Must be bi-lingual with excellent communication skills in English and French
•Must be experienced with Implementing / Maintaining ISO Management Systems and Health and Safety Programs
•Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety legislation
•Experience with Excel, Word, Microsoft project, Microsoft PowerPoint
The salary for this position is $42,000 to $45,000 per annum, depending on experience and education.
