This custom 1969 Ford Mustang Convertible was professionally built and finished in 2008. This Pro-Touring Pony has only 1,000 miles on it since completion and won the Good-Guys ?Eagle One Excellent Choice Award? at its first and only show as a completed vehicle. It started life and is titled as a 1970 Mustang. Every single exterior panel has been replaced or reworked. The front received ?69 sheet metal and trim. The rear has undergone a complete ?Fastback? makeover. Fastback quarters, quarter extensions and deck lid were all grafted into the convertible body before receiving several coats of ?Jet Black? paint. The hood and tail section got a splash of ?Hot Rod Black? for accents. The door handles have been shaven and have remote door openers. The convertible top was custom stitched in Black Haartz Denim fabric and all the bows were painted satin black. No detail was left untouched. Ring Bro?s hardware was used throughout the engine bay as well as Ring Bro?s Billet hood hinges. A custom front valance was fabricated to cover the front radiator area and all new trim, bumpers, weather-stripping, stainless fasteners, etc were installed. G-Machine status is achieved by a completely new suspension consisting of Total Control Products G-Street upper and lower control arms and Air Ride Shockwaves up front. In the rear a Heidts 4 link w/ panhard bar controls a 1994 Mustang Cobra 8.8 rear end while Cool Ride Air Bags offer adjustability in dampening the ride. Custom Orange Painted Wilwood 4 piston calipers and 12.19? Drilled and Slotted Rotors are found at all 4 corners. Wheels are Bose ZE Forged ?Shifter? ? sizes are 17x8 front, 18x9 rear and have been painted ?Hot Rod Black? to match the stripes. The undercarriage has been strengthened via Global West sub-frame connectors before being cleaned and undercoated in stain black.
