Created and staged with great success by the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Beyond the Score® concerts offer an original and stimulating orchestral experience. In a unique concept, revisit Tchaikovsky’s Fourth Symphony, a heartrending work composed during a critical period in the composer’s life and evoking late nineteenth-century. In the first part of the concert, the work is placed in its historical context by means of a dramatic narration and visual projections. The symphony is performed in its entirety after intermission.
