A Journey into new territory
A world of dreams
The exact nature of Rêve (whose title may change) is yet to be revealed, but Stephan Thoss has already formed a clear plan for his new work. Using the evocative powers of abstraction, he intends to place the body at the heart of his exploration into the origins of movement and gesture. Taking a surrealistic approach, he will employ his powerful images to blur the boundaries between the real and imaginary, creating a dream-like world that undermines the certainties of viewers and dancers alike. The work will take the form of a resplendent audio-visual collage, to be approached with abandon, as if luxuriating in the arms of Morpheus, god of dreams.
