The flamboyant choreographies of the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater are joyful syntheses of African, jazz, modern and classical dance forms. After infusing the Montreal stage with its sensuality and infectious joy in 2007, the New York troupe is returning with its masterpiece Revelations, along with new works, at once physical and visceral, including two from its new artistic director, Robert Battle: The Hunt and In/Side.
