Concrete polishing is a finishing technique that continues to gain ground. Its many advantages make it an attractive option, which is why more and more people are choosing polished concrete for their flooring.

In order to achieve a polished concrete, it is necessary to wait for a delay of 28 days after the casting. The surface is worked with a diamond polisher that grinds and vitrifies the surface of the concrete. After several passes, the appearance will become extremely smooth and solid since all parts more friable on the surface of the floor will have been ground to make room for the hardest part of the concrete.

When polishing, we use a high performance densifier sealant that acts as a penetrating agent helping to protect and treat concrete for durability.

As the concrete is a mixture of sand, aggregates and cement, sand will first appear when it is sanded (a salt and pepper appearance), then the aggregates begin to emerge. Then comes the resin stage, which vitrifies the surface. It is also possible to perform only the resins and thus keep the more mineral aspect of the trowel finish.
