SEEKING PARTICIPANTS FOR A COGNITIVE STUDY
As part of a scientific study, Dr. Rajah and colleagues at the Douglas Research Institute and McGill University are seeking healthy individuals to participate in a brain imaging study to understand how ageing impacts the brain networks important for memory function.
To perform this research, we are recruiting adult subjects to undergo cognitive testing while in a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) machine. The study involves two 2 hour sessions at the CIC pavilion of the Douglas Institute in Verdun (flexible hours). In addition, a blood draw will be required to study the association between certain genes and memory.

INCLUSION CRITERIA
• Age: 40 - 58
• Completed High School
• Right handed
• No history of stroke, mental illness or diabetes

Financial compensation will be offered for time and travel expenses.

PARTICIPANTS RECHERCHÉS POUR UNE ÉTUDE COGNITIVE
Dans le cadre d'une étude scientifique, la Dr Natasha Rajah et ses collègues comptent examiner par résonance magnétique le cerveau d'individus en santé. Ils espèrent ainsi pouvoir déterminer avec précision les changements attribuables au vieillissement qui affectent la cognition.
Pour effectuer cette recherche, nous recrutons des sujets adultes pour subir des tests de cognition alors qu'ils sont dans un appareil d'imagerie par résonnance magnétique (IRM). De plus, nous vous prélèverons un échantillon de sang pour étudier l'association entre certains gènes et la cognition. La participation à cette étude implique deux (2) sessions de 1,5 heures chacune (horaire flexible) à l'Institut Douglas à Verdun.
CRITÈRES D'ÉLIGIBILITÉ
• Âge: 40 à 58
• Avoir complété le secondaire
• Droitier
• Aucun historique de maladie psychiatrique ou de diabètes
• Aucun historique d'accident vasculaire cérébral
