What we are looking for:
We are looking for a production manager with experience in leather products, who is organized, energetic, responsible, technically savvy, and who will be able to enforce quality control as well as improve production quality and capability.
Responsibilities:
Plan and execute production schedules;
Leading the staff towards achieving the established goals. Observe, coach and follow-up staff behaviour;
Develop, demonstrate and promote team work and leadership;
Responsible for the enforcement of all safety, efficiency, quality control, organization and cleanliness on the factory floor;
Demonstrate strong analytical skills, judgement and decision making with the ability to adapt to an always changing, fast moving environment;
Lead/responsible for overall improvement of unit cost management including cost savings, quality measures, productivity, etc.;
Participate as part of the management team, to coordinate activities with other managers and their departments to fulfill the organizations goals:
o Work with designers on developing new products, transitioning designs to manufacturing process;
o Work with logistics to ensure all materials are in stock;
o Work with sales to ensure each client receives their product as ordered, with quality and on time;
Basic Qualifications:
Knowledge of both French and English
Manufacturing supervision experience
Understanding of manufacturing processes
Experience with machinery
Experience with leather products
Problem solving mentality
Good organizational skills
Good communication skills
Additional Qualifications:
University or other degree
