Indian students opting to pursue their MBBS degrees in Kyrgyzstan are on a significant rise, with an estimated 2,500 to 3,000 students making the journey annually. This trend underscores Kyrgyzstan's growing popularity, as it attracts more than 20% of Indian students seeking medical education abroad.
According to government records, the current tally for Indian students enrolled in MBBS programs in Kyrgyzstan stands at approximately 14,500 as of 2023. The majority, comprising 70-80% of these students, hail from regions such as Bihar, Eastern Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Madhya Pradesh. Interestingly, the bulk of these students are concentrated in just 3-4 medical colleges across Kyrgyzstan.
