The medical education system in Azerbaijan offers a comprehensive 6-year MBBS program, which includes clinical rotations as an integral component of the curriculum. Azerbaijan Medical University provides its MBBS program in three languages: English, Russian, and Azerbaijani. Students from Asian countries such as India, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka often choose the English-taught program, while those from Central Asian nations like Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Kyrgyzstan often opt for the Russian-taught program. Local students from Uzbekistan commonly enroll in the Azerbaijan program. Unlike countries like Russia and Georgia, Azerbaijan does not adhere to the ECTS system.
Admission Requirements for Azerbaijan Medical University:
Students aspiring to join Azerbaijan Medical University's MBBS program must fulfill the following eligibility criteria:
- Attainment of 50% in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) in the 10+2 Grade
- Possession of a valid NEET scorecard from the years 2021 to 2023
- Minimum age requirement of 17 years or above
