"Learn to repair your own fiberglass and gel coat"
This coming Spring and early Summer we will be holding a series of 1 day courses. We will be showing you how to make those expensive repair easy to do. I will be showing the tricks of the trade that the pros don't want you to know, we will show you using simple household tools and things that you have hanging around the house that will be used to achieve a repair that will not be noticeable .
What we start with is a fiberglass part and we will damage it with a hammer and then discuss how the impact has cause fractures, we will remove the damage glass and repair with new glass. We then will show you how to make body filler using gel coat and fillers, you will show in how to spray gel coat usinging a disposable $29 SPRAY GUN . We will show the black art of colour matching gel coat how to use tints and pigments to make your repair blend into the colour of your boat. We will be going through on how to sand and polish that repair to show room shine.
This course is done in a fun way your welcome to be hands on if you like, or just take a seat and watch, we love to here question and there will be lots of talk about the different repairs we have done in the past . Courses will normally be held on the weekends and are of a one day duration normally starting at 9am and finish around 4 or 5pm .lunch will be provided, The cost for the course is $125 per person or if you want to bring a friend or group there will be group discounts. After the course you will receive a manual with all the information that you will have learnt including how to mix resins cure times and trade secrets.
