Built for professional riders to tackle the unique terrain of Paris Roubaix, this bike has a longer wheelbase, lower BB and more tire clearance than your typical race bike. Unlike every other bike on the market with "roubaix" in the name, this bike was not built for old guys and then modified for the pros. In fact, I don't think this bike was ever intended to be commercialized. What does that mean? Real race bike bottom bracket stiffness that frankly surprised me, plus a normal length headtube, and zero gimmicks like Zertz or suspension. Sold for just one year, they are hard to find.
The longer wheelbase adds noticeable stability in gravel situations or loose sand-over-pavement transitions. I raced it twice in events that combined pavement with dirt roads and I felt very confident pushing it through choppy corners. On the road the handling is crisp, due to the high torsional stiffness.
