DESCRIPTION
The Data Entry Clerk performs receives, reviews, and enters data into computer system and ensures accuracy of all data recorded.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Collects, organizes, and verifies accuracy of data before it is entered.
Compares data entered into computer with data listed on the original document; Conducts spot checks to verify that data is correctly entered;
Deletes incorrect information, and types in correct information.
Maintains record of work completed.
Provides backup to related positions.
Composes, types, and edits correspondence, reports, memoranda, and other material requiring judgment as to content, accuracy, and completeness.
MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
Must have a high school diploma,
1-2 years work experience in a secretarial position or a combination of education, training, and experience which provides the desired knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the positions essential duties and responsibilities.
Experience working in the Supply Chain Industry would be an asset.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees & clients.
Ability to communicate both orally and in writing.
Working knowledge of computers; working knowledge of modern office practices and procedures.
Ability to enter data accurately; ability to establish effective working relationships with employees and supervisors; ability to work efficiently.
