Speciality Valve can be trusted as the largest Ball Valve Manufacturers in India. It consists of a spherical ball with a hole in the middle that controls the flow. When the valve is open, the hole aligns with the flow path, allowing fluid to pass through. When closed, the ball rotates to block the flow, preventing any passage of the fluid. This design ensures quick, reliable, and tight shutoff.
How it works:
The ball valve operates via a quarter-turn mechanism. Turning the valve handle 90 degrees moves the ball inside the valve. When the hole in the ball is aligned with the pipe, fluid flows freely; when the hole is perpendicular to the flow path, the valve is closed. Some ball valves are designed with additional features such as locking mechanisms for safety and to prevent unauthorized operation.
Components of Ball Valve:
Body The main structure that houses all the valve components.
Ball A hollow, perforated ball that controls the flow of the fluid.
Seat A sealing element that ensures no leakage when the valve is closed.
Stem Connects the handle or actuator to the ball, enabling rotation.
Handle/Actuator The external part of the valve that is used to turn the valve, opening or closing the flow.
