Job Description:
General Purpose: Perform accounting and clerical tasks related to the efficient maintenance and processing of accounts payable transactions and payment to employees
Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities
* Review invoices and check requests
* Set invoices up for payment
* Reconciliation of benefits
* Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date
* Resolve invoice discrepancies
* Correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries
* Assist in month end closing
* Full cycle payroll, filing T4 and employer records
* Record hours worked, vacation, payroll and benefit taxes etc. for each employee.
* Print payroll checks and disburse to the employees
Education and Experience
* Knowledge of accounts payable
* Knowledge of general accounting procedures
* Knowledge of relevant computer applications
* Proficient in data entry and management
* 1-3 years accounts payable/payroll, and general accounting experience
* CPA Certified is an asset
* Knowledge of Simply Accounting 2011
