The Model "B" Grand Piano is Steinway's most desired size. It's tone, playability and looks are unsurpassed in the entire piano field. This one in particular is in excellent mechanical, physical and aesthetic condition. All the necessary work has been completed. The overall sound, tone and playability is nothing less then wonderful. The exterior is just a short away from being finished. The case features the famed "Tulip Leg" design and matching appointments. The Steinway Corporation themselves have also commented that their old Steinway's are their worse competitor! The company has branched out, rebuilding their old pianos and re-working them for that exclusive market with asking prices rivaling and sometimes surpassing the new models. For disposable items like computers, cellphones, etc., new is better, but for pianos, the tried and true method of judgement, along with the unmatchable quality of the "then" available materials, can not be beaten. The new "Plain Jane", high polished Steinway "B" in black, goes for around $90k. The same "PJ" in a woodgrain goes for thousands more! Many of the art case "B's" will go for well over $120-150K+!!!!! The piano pictured below is a stock photo and NOT of my piano. The case style of the piano pictured below is identical to the one I am completing. The colour I have chosen for my piano will be richer, deeper and more reddish in nature. The actual grain patterns are every bit as interesting and exciting as the one you can now see in this ad. For having an asking price somewhat north of half of a "Plain Jane" Model "B" in Black, you can have this truly wonderful masterpiece. Even in a soft economy, this is a good deal and a great investment. It is just that - a great investment!
