Growing medium-sized, 35 person, firm located downtown Montreal has openings for ambitious and career-oriented professionals. They are looking for both a Sr. Auditor and an Audit Manager. The successful candidate will lead a group of max 3 people and report the Jr or Sr Partner depending on project. The projects are mainly with large clients (50 million +) private companies. As the Audit Mng you will plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate mandates in assurance engagements and NTR within a set time line for an Audit Partner. The Audit Mng is responsible to manage the personal tax returns for their team and to participate in the quality control process. You will assist the Partner in completing special assignments such as tax planning, estate planning, budgets and other investigative projects. With the right package of skills and the ability to get new clients, the Mng can definitely be in a position for Partnership in the future. RESPONSIBILITIES: - Assist in the planning and scope of all assurance and notice to reader engagements - Performing Audit on private companies - Supervising and driving the completion of client files within a timely manner while ensuring a high quality of work. - Prepare and review financial statements and notes thereto - Ensure filing deadlines are met with respect to tax returns - Meeting with and advising clients, recommend sound solutions, preparing and planning mandates - Participating in business promotion and recruitment functions of the Firm REQUIREMENTS: - Canadian CA or CGA designation completed or in progress - 4+ yrs experience with public accounting firm - Strong knowledge of CICA handbook, Income Tax Act - Strong experience in public accounting, taxation and auditing - Experience supervising staff - Strong analytical and problem solving skills - English Language - Experience with Caseware and Taxprep Send resume to [email protected]
