DESCRIPTION The Data Entry Clerk performs receives, reviews, and enters data into computer system and ensures accuracy of all data recorded. SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Collects, organizes, and verifies accuracy of data before it is entered. • Compares data entered into computer with data listed on the original document; Conducts spot checks to verify that data is correctly entered; • Deletes incorrect information, and types in correct information. • Maintains record of work completed. • Provides backup to related positions. • Composes, types, and edits correspondence, reports, memoranda, and other material requiring judgment as to content, accuracy, and completeness. MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE • Must have a high school diploma, • 1-2 years work experience in a secretarial position or a combination of education, training, and experience which provides the desired knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the position’s essential duties and responsibilities. • Experience working in the Supply Chain Industry would be an asset. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees & clients. • Ability to communicate both orally and in writing. • Working knowledge of computers; working knowledge of modern office practices and procedures. • Ability to enter data accurately; ability to establish effective working relationships with employees and supervisors; ability to work efficiently.
