I own a small cleaning service that I want to sell. We focus on one-time cleans of a more intense nature than a traditional maid service. We don't do laundry or clean bedrooms! We do clean up after parties! And boy, do we ever see some crazy parties! Buyer must be: Flexible in their working hours, as people call when they want their house cleaned (right now!) Willing to face a bathroom filled with broken beer bottles and vomit without making the client feel bad - or even like it's unusual or gross. (This is very important to me - my clients value my service becasue it's NON-JUDGMENTAL) willing to consistently engage in marketing activities to bring in traffic. In the months I have been in operation, I can rely on one or two organic calls from Google or referrals each week. When I'm at the universities handing out fliers it has increased dramatically. Full Disclosure: I don't have much in the way of bookkeeping information, because actually revenues are small. The reason for this is that when I send a cleaner to a $30.00/hr appointment, they keep $20.00 and send $10.00 back to me. This is how I like to organize my cleaners, but it is of course up to the new owner to decide how they want to run the business. Of course if you buy the business and do the work yourself you're looking at $30.00/hr! (or whatever you alter the price to!) The asking price is based on the materials coming with the business (Search Engine optimized Website, phone number, domain, flier design, reputation, operation instructions), monies taken in, as well as the labor I've put into the development of the concept.
