"Pere Noel" was the 1992 issue in the beloved International Santas figurine collection from Lenox, the oldest and most prestigious china company in the US. The sculpture portrays the French Santa wearing the traditional wooden sabots and carrying a sack of toys, with his "naughty and nice" list clutched in one hand. Made of fine porcelain bisque to show crisp detail, from the waves in his flowing white beard to the gathers on his striped sleeves. Hand painted in rich rose and gold with 24-karat gold accents. Expert modeling and coloring enhance the sumptuousness of his costume and the sense of movement as Pere Noel strides joyfully into the holiday season. In original box. A striking addition to any Santa collection and an eye-catching holiday display.
Never displayed, excellent condition.
