Age: 8 to 13 years old.
Participants aged 8 to 13 experience an intensive and eclectic song-filled week. They are subdivided by voice range (soprano, alto, etc.) One or two camp counsellors are then assigned to each group, depending on its size. They spend the entire one-week session participating in all the activities with the same group.
Each day begins at 9 a.m. with the percussion workshop where all participants from the Choir Camp learn all kinds of rhythms using their bodies, mouths and many sorts of noise-making objects!
Next, it's outside for a snack and then the rest of the morning is devoted to singing! The afternoon starts with "sectionals" where part of our Choir Camp campers are singing while the other part is doing arts & crafts or drama to prepare for the End-of-Camp Concert. The groups switch during the course of the afternoon. The day ends with a dance workshop where we learn the choreography that will be performed as "singing & dancing" at the End-of-Camp Concert!
The only prerequisite is a love of singing!
