Spotlight on up-and-comers with character, where the Tentacle Tribe and Wants&Needs Danse companies are creating buzz in the emerging dance scene. In 2013 they were rated in the Top Ten of The Dance Current and Voir for dances that they are revisiting, to our great delight. One company features Emmanuelle Lê Phan and Elon Höglund, a magnetic tandem who invent a geometry of harmonious urban contemporary dance that is a delectable fusion of music and movement. The other, also known for popular events it organizes in atypical sites, was co-founded by Sasha Kleinplatz, who presents here a work that is physical, emotional and cathartic, presented by six dancers and a captivating percussionist-singer. Worth discovering!
