Where do people go when they disappear from our lives, our memories? This is the question that confronts a woman as she waits alone on a station platform. She thinks of all those who have disappeared into obscurity. The floodgates of memories open up. Renowned choreographer, Michèle Anne De Mey, and the equally renowned director and associate director, Jaco Van Dormael, collaborate for the first time to create of Kiss & Cry. A veritable ballet of the hands, this work invites guests to a choreographic performance, to an authentic film screening, and to a “making of” presentation, all at once! With the sensual presence of hands meeting amidst dollhouses, miniature figures, optical illusions, tricks, jokes, and raw innocence, Kiss & Cry offers a new language, a new way of telling a story that pushes the boundaries between genres and invigorates the imagination.
