Florence K made her name with the salsa, blues, bossa nova and jazz grooves on her Bossa Blue and La Historia de Lola albums (Félix winners both). On her new album, I’m Leaving You, recorded in Los Angeles under the direction of Larry Klein (Joni Mitchell, Melody Gardot) and presented here in a Montreal premiere, Florence expands her horizons with 10 tracks blending rock with blues, with brass and guitars rubbing elbows with the subtlest Latin influences.
