Looking in Montreal, Quebec : Montreal Roller Derby: Looking for Officials

The Montreal Roller Derby League is launching its 2011 officials recruitment campaign!

We are looking a good amount of volunteers that are interested by one or many of the three groups below:
1) Skating Referee: Learn the rules and officiating practices, learn to skate. Time investment: about 3 to 5 hours per week. Must generally be available on Tuesday nights. No skating experience required.
2) Non-Skating Official: Learn part of the rules and officiating practices. Time investment: about 1 to 2 hours per week. Must generally be available on the 1st Wednesday night of the month.
3) Statistician: Learn part of the rules and help the league to establish statistics for its players, while working with the officiating crew. Time investment: about 1 to 2 hours per week.

You probably have questions, so please come see us at one of our four identical information meetings. A short 40- 45-minute presentation will start the meeting, and then the floor will be opened to your questions!

Just look for people wearing referee shirts. At the Taz, you can find us in the section on the left after going through the front doors - the roulodome.
