We are currently looking for a mold maker who can maintain and repair complex plastic molds according to quality standards. The ideal candidate will have knowledge in conventional lathes, milling and electrical discharge machines.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain and repair production molds while paying attention to the finest details
Work from blueprints and sketches to modify existing molds
Work with conventional lathes, milling and electrical discharge machines
Analyze and correct complex mold malfunctions to ensure a mold will produce the most ideal parts
Assist toolmakers or machinists with technical advice or help when necessary
Inspect finished products and select the correct precision measurement devices and other tools needed
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in mold making and maintenance preferably in the plastic field
Technical school certification or apprenticeship mold making program
Must be exact and able to read and interpret blueprints
Strong math and communication skills and ability to work with minimal supervision
Ability to multi-tasks and prioritize projects simultaneously
Good judgement, time management and organization skills
Full-Time, permanent position; located in Lasalle, Qc
