What makes China Medical University an attractive option for studying MBBS? Currently, over 8,000 Indian students are pursuing MBBS degrees in China across more than 45 universities, with China Medical University hosting over 400 Indian students across various academic levels. Notably, the university boasts an impressive track record, with a past passing ratio of 38% in the MCI screening test, significantly surpassing the yearly average. Accredited with an A grade until 2021, China Medical University has applied for an upgrade and is presently under consideration by the WHO for an 'A+' grade. If granted, the upgraded grade may entail an increase in fees for medicine programs in China starting from 2022, estimated to be at least Rs.1 lac higher than the current rates.
While BDS programs are available for international students at reputable medical colleges in China, it's generally not recommended due to the comparatively higher costs, even at the most economical institutions in China, compared to India and other countries. Furthermore, the quality of BDS education in India is widely regarded as superior. Hence, opting for BDS in China may not be a sensible choice considering these factors.
